Samsung has been making some of the most exciting smartphones over the years, even before they cracked the formula of beautiful glass and metal smartphones. The Galaxy Note 8 is the latest example of that philosophy with the best of smartphone technology crammed into one phablet with a focus on the ultimate smartphone experience. Animated GIF:

In Android, the navigation bar at the bottom remains active in all apps other than video player apps and games as it is the only way to go back and forth in your phone’s interface. The latest range of Samsung flagships has developed an affinity to sport the fingerprint sensor by the rear camera module. While this criticised fingerprint sensor position has been carried over from the S8 to the Note 8, it does house one neat trick to help users manage the phablet with one-hand — drop down the notification panel by swiping down on the sensor and withdraw it by swiping up. This feature has been part of most smartphones in the present times and with its inclusion in the Note 8, it is yet to be seen whether this comes as of any help to the user.

Translate with S Pen:

Until now, the S Pen had been available only for scribbling notes and sketches as well as house certain shortcuts. With the Note 8, one will be able to translate languages on the move, without the need to go on the web. All one needs to do is access the S Pen shortcuts and select ‘Translate’, wherein one can only translate selected text by hovering S Pen over it.

Use S Pen’s button as an eraser:

Samsung has made it easy for its Note users to scribble their thoughts on their palm-sized canvas since ages and with the Note 8’s S Pen, users can erase their digital scribbles by pressing and holding the side button on the S Pen. This should make it easier to get your art on the canvas with accuracy as you won’t have to hunt for an on-screen eraser button anymore.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is one of the most feature-rich phone that money can buy. With its myriad of features, it will be tough for any other smartphone to beat the Note 8 in terms of productivity.
