The Huawei Nova 2i could be Honor's upcoming quad-cam bezel-less smartphone for India
For the past few days, speculations have been ripe about Honor, Huawei’s sub-brand, preparing to launch a new smartphone in the Indian market. This seemed rather usual until the speculations suggested a mid-range smartphone with four cameras and a bezel-less display. This is expected to be a game changer product for the Honor brand in India.
However, we stumbled across a Huawei smartphone on the Internet that was launched a few days ago in Malaysia. While going through the Huawei Nova 2i specifications, we found it to be coincidentally similar to rumoured Honor smartphone — 5.9-inch FullView full HD 18:9 IPS LCD display, dual cameras (16MP + 2MP) on the back and dual cameras (13MP + 2MP) on the front.
Therefore, we can assume that Honor will rebadge the Huawei Nova 2i for the Indian market for putting it against the Vivo V7+ with similar specifications. The Nova 2i is built on around the octa core Krin 659 SoC mated to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which is expandable. It runs on Android 7.0 based EMUI 5.1 and is fuelled by a 3340mAh battery. Expect Honor to price this in the Rs 18,000 – Rs 22,000 price bracket.
