Xiaomi Mi 6 stock sells out in seconds
Xiaomi launched its flagship Mi 6 a few days back at an event in Beijing with this year’s most anticipated chipset – the Snapdragon 835. The company made it available for the first flash sale yesterday in China and guess what? All the units of the phone vanished within seconds.
The Mi 6 sold immediately after the flash sale started and many were reported to be left disheartened after missing out on the sales. However, Xiaomi has stated that the Mi 6 will be available on 5th May for the next China sale.
This amount of interest indicates that the Mi 6 has got many interested in itself. And why shouldn’t be everyone interested in the Mi 6? After all, you are getting Samsung Galaxy S8-levels of performance (if not better) for half the price of that curvy phone with Infinity Display.
The Mi 6 has got a 2.45GHz Snapdragon 835 chipset accompanying 6GB of RAM as standard on all the variants. You also get dual lens “iPhone 7 Plus-esque” rear camera, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, 64/128GB storage, four-sided curved glass/ceramic body and a 3,350mAh battery for roughly Rs 23,999. So, have they skipped on anything? Yes, the 3.5mm headphone jack is gone, leaving the humble USB Type-C to handle all the duties of being the music port, charging port and data transfer port.
There is no official word from Xiaomi on the availability of the Mi 6 in India yet. But, if Xiaomi brings it to India sometime later in the year, Indian tech enthusiasts will be happy to get an SD835 phone in a premium body for half the price of a flagship phone.
