Galaxy Note 8 will feature 'more advanced' multimedia features: Samsung

Samsung has announced to launch Galaxy Note 8 on August 23 at a event in New York City.

Samsung next flagship smartphone from the Galaxy Note series will be the ‘best mobile device for multimedia consumption’, the company confirmed in a conference call on July 27 to The Investor.

The Galaxy Note series, first launched in 2011, come with a range of multimedia features, including the large-size display, and S-Pen, only available with the smartphone models,” said Samsung’s executive during the conference call. “The Galaxy Note 8 will feature more advanced, richer multimedia functionalities,” he added.

The firm has already announced to unveil the handset on August 23 at an event titled, ‘Unpacked,’ in New York City.

In terms of specifications leaked so far, Galaxy Note 8 is anticipated to feature a ‘bigger display”, potentially larger than Galaxy S8 Plus’s 6.2-inch display, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 processor, coupled with 6GB RAM, a dual-camera setup, digital voice-assistant Bixby that supports Korean an English, and a 3,300mAh battery.

The device is also speculated to be Samsung’s most expensive smartphone till date, with a price tag of approximately Rs 72,000, according to a report by the VentureBeat. The handset is expected to hit shelves sometime around September, in the month when Apple is scheduled to launch its next iPhone.
