Xiaomi slashes price of Mi Max 2 in India
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has announced a price cut of Rs 1000 on its Mi Max 2 for the Indian market. The smartphone, originally launched in July, will now be available permanently at a price tag of Rs 13,999 (down from Rs 14,999) for the 4GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant. On the other hand, the 64GB variant will now cost Rs 15,999 (down from Rs 16,999). The smartphone is available on Mi e-store and also on other e-commerce channels.
Xiaomi India took to Twitter to make the announcement on 30th October. Xiaomi Vice President and Xiaomi India's Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain also confirmed the new development tweeting, "BIG now costs less! Announcing a permanent price drop of Rs 1000 on both variants on #MiMax2,” Jain tweeted.
Going by the specifications, the smartphone has a 6.44-inch IPS display with 1080 x 1920 pixels (full HD) resolution, which is further protected via a Gorilla Glass. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 SOC with an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 506 GPU and paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. It runs on MIUI 8.0 wrapped under Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS.
Optics wise, the Mi Max 2 sports a 12MP primary camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor with a f/2.0 aperture lens. The handset is fuelled by a huge 5300mAh battery.
