While the OnePlus 6T was launched only a day ago, the new handset has already started receiving a new firmware update. The OP6T has just received a new update with build number A6010_41_181024. The new update now features an improved screen unlock, brand new navigation gestures, optimized standby power consumption and an updated security patch for Android (nov 2018) apart from casual bug fixes. Also included in the new update is an improved Night Scape and added Studio lighting for enhancing the user’s face contour.

OnePlus 6T received great attention from the media and fans. While most of the information is already out there about the new variant and the differences in the technology, the OnePlus 6T also came in with a bigger update on the camera front. OnePlus announced that the OnePlus 6T has a camera update that now focuses on low light.

With the OP6T, OP released a new operating system and a new camera mode called NightScape that makes night photography even better than before. The camera now exposes the frame for a longer period to improve the quality of the photos and reduce noise by a large scale.

While the NightScape is actually a settings parameter taken from the professional mode where one can play with the ISO and shutter speeds to get similar performance, the NightScape mode does this automatically without the need of the user to know how to tweak the settings to get the same output. Casual users don’t know the settings for ISO and shutter speeds when it comes to darker environments and here the camera’s built-in settings helps the user get the best shot possible. The only issue is that the camera needs to be held stable – very stable. If you have a shaky hand, you could end up with blur.

This new update was promised on the OnePlus 6 handsets too, and the update will be rolled out by OnePlus soon.
