Chinese smartphone maker Huawei is set to launch its upcoming flagship – the Mate 9 on November 3 in Germany. The smartphone will reportedly come in two variants – the regular Huawei Mate 9 with a flat display and the Mate 9 Pro with a curved display.

While the Mate 9 will feature a 5.88-inch display with full HD resolution, the Mate 9 Pro will sport a 5.50-inch AMOLED curved display. Both the devices are expected to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with Huawei’s EMUI skin atop it.

The smartphone will also run on the HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset and an octa-core processor that comprises of 4 Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and 4 Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. In terms of graphics, users can expect ARM’s Mali G71 MP8 GPU.

The device will be available in 4GB RAM/G4GB ROM and 6GB RAM/256 ROM storage variants.

As far as the camera is concerned, both the devices are expected to come with a dual camera set up with 12MP and 20MP rear cameras with a separate dual tone LED flash unit. Moreover, the phone is also expected to come equipped with a finger-print scanner at the back.

Huawei’s Mate 9 Pro to expected to be priced around $1,300 (approximately Rs 87,000).
