All about the stunning view

Kodikuthimala in Malappuram is ideal for a quick getaway.

Kodikuthimala or popularly known as Mini Ooty of Malappuram is the highest peak in Malappuram district. The hill is located near Amminikkad village, approximately 10 kilometres away from Perinthalmanna town. The green and idyllic setting of the hills is truly fascinating. The place is energised with a calm and cold weather and fresh air. The hills, waterfalls and a watchtower are the main attractions here.

It is better to visit the place in the early morning or in the evening to explore the good breeze and real beauty atop the hills. The place has a rejuvenating feel to it. It could also be a good spot for those who love trekking. The stone paved steep road makes it challenging to reach the top of hills. After climbing less than one kilometer, the complete view of Perinthalmanna town and surrounding areas can be seen very clearly. The watchtower on top of the hill opens to a panoramic view of the whole of Malappuram and parts of nearby places. The cool breeze, few ever-flowing springs and small waterfalls, as well as the occasional grassy meadows of the hill with the serene atmosphere all make Kodikuthimala an ideal picnic spot.
