Veteran actress Anjali Mukhi, best remembered for her role as Saroj Singh in Doli Armaanon Ki, has stepped into actress Eva Grover’s shoes in the show, Tashn-e-Ishq. Eva, who won the hearts of millions on the show, had to quit the show owing to certain health issues.
Sharing her excitement on joining the cast, Anjali says, “Anita Luthra is a strong, independent Punjabi woman and doesn’t mind playing dirty games to ensure things go her way. The character is very different from all my past roles and something that I haven’t explored earlier. As an actor, I love playing roles that are as diverse as possible and when I got an opportunity to play this pivotal role, I had no option but to say yes. To make me look as graceful as Eva, they’ve given me an elaborate makeover. I’m working really hard to get the body language, the demeanour and tone right. Eva has certainly made a mark and won appreciation for the role and I will try my best to slip into her shoes seamlessly and play the character convincingly. It’s a challenging role and I’m certain that fans will love my new avatar.”
