Barkha Bisht recently donned the chef’s hat on the sets of her show, Naamkarann. A scene required the actress’ character, Asha, to cook dal dhokli along with her onscreen neighbour Sumukhi. While performing for the sequence, Barkha made good use of the opportunity, and put her culinary skills to good use. The actress actually ended up cooking dal dhokli, and received rave reviews from the crew.
Barkha says, “Though I have never had the time and patience for it, I have enjoyed cooking. The kitchen is one of my happy places. Whenever I am free, I try making a few finger foods for my husband Indraneil Sengupta and daughter Meera. When I was told that I had to experiment with cooking for a scene in the show, I made some dal dhokli for the crew. The crew asked me to cook more often.”
