The run-up to one of telly-land’s big fat weddings, Divyanka Tripathy and Vivek Dahiya’s nuptials, kicked off on July 6 and 7 with the couple hosting intimate haldi and mehendi ceremonies in the bride’s hometown, Bhopal. Divyanka looked resplendent in a traditional yellow outfit for the mehendi ceremony. Among the couple’s friends from the industry who attended the sangeet were Rajesh Kumar, Vipul Roy and Manish Nagdev. The highlight of the evening, however, was Divyanka and Vivek’s performance to a song specially composed for the occasion. A visibly happy Divyanka said, “I am excited about the wedding. It feels great to be surrounded by relatives and friends on my big day. Along with excitement there is sadness too as I will be leaving my parent’s home and moving to a new family. But all this is part of life. To begin a new chapter you have to move on and I am doing that. I find myself in a very happy space currently — both personally and professionally.”
