To even stand next to Amitabh Bachchan is a big deal: Raashul Tandon
Having been a popular face in the world of television commercials, jumping onto the Bollywood bandwagon was a natural progression for actor Raashul Tandon. The talented young actor is currently anticipating the release of his upcoming social thriller, Pink, which has been produced by Shoojit Sircar and directed by Aniruddha Roy Chaudhary.
Talking about his big break, Raashul says, “I had auditioned for the role. The casting director, Jogiji, and the team really helped me understand the plot and my character so I could perform well.”
Raashul also says that he feels blessed to share the screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in Pink. “It was like a dream come true,” he gushes. “I’ve always wanted to work with him. When you work with a legend like Mr Bachchan, only then do you understand why he’s given the status of one. He’s so dedicated and focused in his work, and for me to even stand next to him is a big deal,” he continues.
About his role in the movie, Raashul explains, “It’s a story of a bunch of youngsters living in Delhi and I play one of those characters. It’s a very pivotal role as I’m part of the one incident, which dictates the course of the film.”
