I miss the show, I miss my fans: Dhruv Bhandari
Dhruv Bhandari aka Mantu’s sudden exit from the show Tere Sheher Mein hasn’t gone down too well with his fans, but the actor assures them that the spell won’t last for long.
Word is that Dhruv wasn’t too happy with the way his character was shaping up in the show, hence the exit. “All sorts of rumours are making the rounds, but I don’t have much to say. It’s part and parcel of the industry. Yes, I miss the show and I miss my fans who used to send compliments on social media and requests for me to post my selfies. As an actor, I am used to people taking my pictures, but I am very bad at it myself. I find the idea of selfies a little absurd, to be honest,” he says.
So when is he making a comeback on TV “Definitely sooner than what anybody can expect. Actually, why just TV I may even do something else. I love to act and entertain people. I’m in the midst of getting good work. I want to do a nice romantic story next.”
The actor admits that he hasn’t been following TSM or any other show for that matter. “I have really been quite disconnected from everything. It has been a while since mom and I watched TV over dinner. I’m just getting back to my routine life.”
And is he in touch with any of his team members “I’m in touch with almost everybody.”
Rapid Fire My nickname — DB If not an actor I would be — I don’t think I’ve ever thought of becoming anything else, other than an actor. Best compliment I received — That I’m a replica of my dad. My biggest strength and weakness — I think my mom and my family are my biggest strength and weakness. Favourite season—Winter
