Veteran film actress Aruna Irani, who is currently seen on Bhagyalakshmi on &TV, is enjoying her stint on television. She states that switching mediums didn’t pose a problem for her. She says, “I have been in front of the camera since I was 10. I respect acting as a craft. Just because I’m on TV and not the silver screen, doesn’t mean I will compromise on my quality of work. Luckily, there are no fights on set, the younger lot respects me as a senior, otherwise working with badtameez people would be difficult.”

When quizzed if she watches any shows on telly, she responds with a straight no. She admits that there is another activity that keeps her busy: share markets. She says, “I don’t watch shows on TV. Actually, as soon as I’m free from work, I start tracking what’s happening in the share market.”

Is she in touch with any of her film co-stars, we ask She says, “When we are on the sets, everybody is close but within two months, you lose touch. So I wouldn’t say I’m in touch with anyone regularly.”
