...said fashion designer Kanwaljeet Singh as he got evicted from the Bigg Boss house this week
Kanwaljeet Singh aka Kamli is the latest contestant to be ousted from the Bigg Boss house. The fashion designer who entered the house as a wild card contestant had a short stay at the house and unlike most contestants, admitted that he’d have liked some more time on the show. “I was not expecting to be out so soon. I want to go back inside the house. Because of my health issues, I was not that chirpy and lively in the last week and that’s the reason I was evicted,” Kanwaljeet says.
Being the oldest member in the house, he lived up to his image of being a fatherly figure to the contestants. “ I gelled very well with all the contestants apart from Rochelle. I said something unknowingly and she took it very personally and was behaving rudely with me throughout my stay in the house. I once said that the level of beauty pageants is not what it used to be and no one remembers who the previous winners were. I did not know that she was an ex-Ms India and she took it personally,” he adds.
Some contestants, Kanwaljeet feels, are trying to hog all the limelight. “Priya and Rochelle are two girls in the house who are simply over-reacting and trying to be in every possible frame of the camera when there is certainly no need. They are simply over doing it. When you are being yourself, you don’t get conscious of the cameras and I was not even bothered with them.”
On his part, Kanwaljeet is happy with his performance on the show. “I was there to add a fun element to the show, but in the last week I fell ill and wasn’t able to give my best. But I performed well in all the tasks in spite of being the oldest contestant in the history of Bigg Boss. It was a dream to be in the Bigg Boss house and it felt like home,” he says.
Kanwaljeet has now placed his bets on three of his favourite contestants. “Prince, Mandana and Kishwer are very strong. Only if Prince would use his brains and not follow the clan, he will emerge as a strong contender.”
What’s the plan after BB “Fashion designing will now take a backseat for me. I have written several film and television scripts and will work on them soon,” he says.
