With fiction series Begusarai taking a 20-year leap, major changes are in order for the show. The new track will see lead actress Shweta Tiwari’s makeover inspired by Madhuri Dixit’s movie, Gulaab Gang. In fact, Shweta will also be seen drawing heavily from Madhuri’s character in the film for her act as Maa Thakurayan. She will be seen heading the village. The makers are set to take the viewers on a roller coaster ride by presenting Shweta in a larger than life gun-wielding avatar.
Talking about her character, Shweta says, “After a lot of research and rigorous look tests, we have finally zeroed in on this look. I personally have loved Madhuriji’s performance a lot in the movie and always wanted to play a role on similar lines. I have been excited ever since I learnt that my look and character would be based on Madhuriji’s Gulaab Gang. I am looking forward to playing a powerful role in Begusarai.”
