My entire focus is on my next show: Preetika Rao

When Beintehaa was discontinued in 2014, Preetika Rao went missing from the small screen. But not anymore. The actress will soon be back on telly because Beintehaa is airing once again, this time under a new title, Salam-e-Ishq. Preetika has also signed up for another show but cannot reveal much about it at the moment. In a freewheeling conversation, she tells us about Salaam-e-Ishq, her marriage plans and more. Excerpts:

Beintehaa is now returning as Salam-e-Ishq. How are you feeling

The show has got a new name and everyone’s really excited. The show will air on Colors Rishtey, which reaches a wider audience as compared to Colors.

What did you miss the most about the show It had a magical cast, and that is what made it work. We also had the best director — it’s tough to find such a perfect set up.

Fans loved your pairing with co-star Harshad Arora. How was he to work with Harshad is really punctual. He would never ever come late even if the production house called him way before the planned schedule.

Do you plan to release another music video anytime soon Not at the moment. My entire focus is on my next show. Once I get a break from that show, then I can think about music. These days it isn’t the company that approaches the artiste. The artiste has to do everything on their own — I had produced my own video and that requires a lot of time, effort and money.
