The makers to ensure that the canvas is grand, have recreated the world famous Pushkar mela for the show. The cast and crew have been braving the extreme heat in Pushkar to shoot the key sequences. The giant wheel brings the mela to life: The heartbeat of the fairs is almost always the giant wheel. The essence of the gigantic Pushkar mela is easily played out by this huge wheel. The locals too participated whole-heartedly.
Lights, camera and action: This master shot beautifully captures lead actors Vikram Singh Chauhan and Shivani Surve with the cheerful locals. The retakes, the heat, the massive crowd — almost nothing could dampen the spirits of the cast and crew. At the end of the long day there were happy faces all around smiling at the monitor. The hard work paid off and the results were simply fabulous.
Dhol bajne laga: The Rajasthani folk music adds to the beauty and charm of the colourful Pushkar mela. The rhythmic percussion gets you foot-tapping. The sequence became more enchanting the moment the local musicians began playing their instruments.
The heat! The expression on Shivani Surve’s face is an indication of the team’s fierce battle with the scorching sun. The actors, however, wore their tans with a smile. Desert safari: The crew made the most of their time shooting with the camels. Stealing some quality time in between shots, the actors and the production members had their very own desert safaris hitching a ride on the camel carts used for the shoot.
