Bahu Hamari Rajni_kant is gearing up to welcome its new leading man, Raqesh Bapat. Sources from the set of the show inform that the actor has been finalised as the replacement for Karan V. Grover. Apparently, Karan had an understanding with the makers that he will shoot for the show till September and thereafter, begin work to his movie project. Since the production house knew Karan’s term is coming to an end, the team started looking for a replacement. They tried several actors, but these actors didn’t fit the bill. Finally, they found their leading man in Raqesh, who had previously replaced actor Karan Singh Grover in the past as leading man in Qubool Hai. Raqesh starts shooting for the show from this Sunday.
Revealing more details, another source from the sets reveals, “Raqesh has been chosen to play the part after a month-long contemplation. The actor was selected because his on-screen chemistry with Ridhima Pandit worked. This is the first time the actor will be seen trying comedy. Even though Karan had a huge fan base and left his mark as an actor, we are certain the actor will be able to step into his shoes convincingly.”
When contacted, Raqesh said, “I am not allowed to comment on it at the moment. Will talk about it at the right time.” Karan declined to comment as well.
