Sources close to Roopal Tyagi a.k.a Gunjan of Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke tell us the actress, who has been depressed after her break up with Akhlaque Khan, is determined to get over the split. The actress celebrates her birthday on October 4 and has planned a big bash where almost everyone in the industry has been invited. Her parents will also be flying to Mumbai to join the celebrations. The actress, when contacted, said, “I’m going to bring in my birthday with a party and then spend the day with my family. It’s special because my parents are coming down to Mumbai to celebrate my birthday with me. Also because the party planned is quite grand, I’m excited. There is no theme, because most people don’t end up following the theme and that upsets me, so the only theme is to come and have a great time at my party.” While she is busy preparing for her party, the actress is also shooting for her show which is currently focussing on the issue of eve teasing. She says, “Right now, my character Gunjan is working very hard to fight against eve teasing and for women’s rights. I relate a lot to my character. I was recently upset and angry because of issues like these and I wished I had the strength like Gunjan to raise my voice against them. I feel all of Gunjan is present in Roopal — except that she’s married.”

Kapil Sharma may have been going through a tough time, what with the Income Tax department officials on his trail, but the comedian says that their behaviour was impeccable and dignified. In fact, he plans to invite some of them to his show and then poke some fun at his tax troubles. Kapil says, “The officers were very sweet and I would love to invite them for an episode of Comedy Nights With Kapil.” Speaking about the upcoming episodes, he says, “We were to shoot with Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan but then the tragedy (the set was gutted in a fire) happened and our dates shifted. We are in the process of working out dates and hope to shoot with both actors soon.” — NC
