Bhai dooj, which marks the last day of Diwali, is an important festival for television actors. Several artistes make adjustments to their hectic schedules to celebrate the occasion with their siblings. We caught up with some actors and got them to share their plans.

Ssharad Malhotra: I will be missing the festivities this year in Kolkata because of my work schedule. I am planning to send my sister a chocolate bouquet and a surprise gift too.

Mrunal Jain: The whole world knows that Rashami Desai is my muhboli sister. I look forward to Bhai dooj so that I can spend some time with her. She is my support system. This year, I am planning to take her out for dinner to her favourite restaurant. Although, we are both busy with our shoot schedules, we have decided to work around it. I am blessed to have her in my life.

Divyanka Tripathi: My brother, Aishwarya Tripathi, is a kind-hearted and a humble soul. As is the case with siblings, we have had our share of fistfights too. Now we are best of friends. He is a pilot now, and hence he is diet conscious. Since I cannot tempt him with sweets, I am sending him protein packs and nutritional supplements as gifts to make up for my absence.

Ankit Bathla: Luckily this Bhai dooj, I will be in Delhi with my sister, Nishtha Bathla. I already gifted her something this Diwali — it’s a bracelet, which reads, ‘I am watching your back’. I can discuss anything with her without being judged.
