When honesty came to Ishani Sharma’s rescue

As unbelievable as it may sound, this is true. Ishani Sharma, the protagonist of the new show Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein bagged the show because of her honesty. During the auditions, she told the casting team that she came all the way from Himachal Pradesh to Chandigarh with just a paltry sum of Rs 1,200.

Ishani’s blunt statement took the casting guys by surprise, since they could not believe she made it this far with such little money in her pocket. A source close to the team revealed that her dedication impressed everyone in the team. The source says, “They concluded that if the girl could travel with such a small amount to fulfill her dream, she could conquer anything with her determination. Hence, the team decided to cast her in the lead role.” Confirming the incident, Ishani says, “I never thought that the money in my pocket would prove to be the decision-maker. My audition went well but when I told them about how much money I have and how strenuous my journey from Chandigarh has been, they thought that I’d be perfect for Anokhi’s part.”
