Washington: The White House has received the Pentagon's review of plans to defeat the Islamic State group, after President Donald Trump demanded that top brass find additional ways to destroy the jihadists in Syria and Iraq, an official said today.
One of Trump's central campaign pledges was to quicken the fight against IS, and he berated the administration of his predecessor Barack Obama for taking too long to do so.
"The White House will begin reviewing the recommendations," the official said on condition of anonymity.
