Pakistan kills 12 ISIS men in Balochistan
Islamabad: Pakistan Army on Thursday said it has dismantled ISIS’s infrastructure in the troubled Balochistan province and killed 12 hardcore terrorists, including two suicide bombers, in an operation last week.
The security forces conducted an operation in Mastung area of the province from June 1 to 3 on actionable intelligence, said an Army statement, releasing details of the three-day long operation.
“The successful operation by security forces in Mastung denied establishment of any direct or indirect ISIS organised infrastructure in Balochistan (province of) Pakistan, also foiled terrorist incidents in Pakistan,” it said.
It said that there were reports of 10-15 terrorists of banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangivi Al-Aalmi (LeJA) hiding in caves near Isplingi mountains, 36 kms south east of Mastung.
