Man who opened fire in Moscow eliminated by police

As per the preliminary information, a man born in 1967 had opened fire on passersby from a hunting rifle in the village of Kratovo.

Moscow: The man who opened firing from a shotgun in Kratovo village of Ramensky District, killing four people was eliminated by the police and National Guard in the course of a special operation.

"The joint operation of the Interior Ministry and National Guard forces is over. The gunman has been eliminated," reported Tass, quoting an official spokesperson.

As per the preliminary information, a man born in 1967 had opened fire on passersby from a hunting rifle in the village of Kratovo. After the Russian National Guard fighters stormed the house, the shooter in response opened fire on special forces unit officers and later threw grenade.

The area of the crime scene was later cordoned off.
