Pak panel set to declare Nawaz Sharif's sons absconders
Islamabad: Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) investigation officer on Tuesday submitted a compliance report in accountability court to declare former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s sons Hassan and Hussain Nawaz as absconders.
During the hearing headed by Justice Mohammad Bashir, the officer said that all the departments have been contacted to seek details of Mr Hassan and Mr Hussain’s property while officer Mohammad Kamran’s statement has also been recorded in Flagship Investment reference.
He further told the court that details of Hussain Nawaz’s four bank accounts had also been received in which 4272 euros, $3992, £207 and '382, 000 were reflected. “Summons of the accused have been also pasted on the walls of their house and court,” he added.
The officer appealed the court to fulfill all legal requirements and declare former PM’s sons absconders. Subsequently, the court adjourned the hearing, saying to announce the verdict on Wednesday.
Earlier, the court had issued perpetual warrants for Mr Hussain and Hassan Nawaz’s arrest and separated their trial from other members of the family.
Orders have also been given to confiscate their shares in six companies.
