At least 4 civilians killed in Herat explosion
Afghanistan has long been suffering from unstable political, social and security issues.
Moscow: At least four civilians have been killed, while three others injured in a blast in Herat province of Afghanistan on Thursday, local media reported, and citing Afghan officials.
According to the TOLO news broadcaster, the explosion took place in Chesht district of Afghanistan's province of Herat in the morning. Details of the incident are not yet specified.
Afghanistan has long been suffering from unstable political, social and security issues due to the activity of the Islamic State terrorist group (outlawed in Russia) and the Taliban. The Afghan National Defence and Security Forces are currently conducting joint offensive operations to combat terrorism across the country.
