Rahul Gandhi flays govt on Nitin Gadkari comments
In a sarcastic tweet Mr Gandhi said, “Excellent question Gadkari Ji. Every Indian is asking the same question.”
New Delhi: Congress president Mr Rahul Gandhi did not lose a chance on Monday to attack the Narendra Modi government over Union minister Nitin Gadkari’s utterances.
Talking to reporters in Maharashtra, Mr Gadkari was quoted as saying, “Let us assume reservation is given. But there are no jobs. Jobs have shrunk in banks because of IT. The government recruitment is frozen. Where are the jobs?”
In a sarcastic tweet Mr Gandhi said, “Excellent question Gadkari Ji. Every Indian is asking the same question.” He also tagged a media report carrying Mr Gadkari’s remarks.
The Congress social media also latched on to Mr Gadkari’s comments. “We applaud Gadkari for being the first BJP minister to speak the truth and raise the question we have been asking the people of India have been asking,” Congress tweeted.
