Salman has been accused of poaching blackbucks while shooting for the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ near Jodhpur in 1998.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who was summoned by a trial court for alleged illegal possession of arms and poaching blackbucks, recorded his statement on Thursday. According to reports, his lawyer said that the actor told the court that he has been 'falsely implicated' in the case.

Khan had appeared in the court for the same purpose on April 29 last year for recording his statements and pleaded innocence but before the court could consider his plea, the defence had moved an application seeking re-examination of 5 prosecution witnesses of the case.

The case under Arms Act was registered after the weapons, allegedly used by him for hunting down two blackbucks in 1998, had their licences expired.

While a case against him for poaching a blackbuck near Jodhpur's Kankani is still underway, the forest department filed a separate case under the Arms Act.

In a major relief to the actor, the Jodhpur court had last year accepted his plea to produce four witnesses in the case.

The Rajasthan High Court had ordered for the submission of files related to the sanction procedure for prosecution by district collector to the court.
