Three Bawania gang members arrested
NEW DELHI: With the arrest of three members of a family including two women, the Delhi police seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition from outer North district’s Bawana area. In total, 165 live cartridges and five country made pistols were recovered from their possessions, said the police adding that they are close aid of gangster Neeraj Bawania.
The accused were identified as Virender , Nirmala and Kirti, trio resident of village Sultanpur Dabas.
DCP (OuterNorth) Gaurav Sharma said, the sleuths were keeping a strict vigil on the gangsters of area, which is infamous for its desperado’s especially Neeraj Bawania, Rajesh Bawania and their gangwar activities. To curb it multiple teams under Dharam Dev (SHO/Bawana), Insp Rakesh and Insp Anupam Bhushan were constituted under the supervision ACP (Bawana) Saurabh Chandra. Information regarding known outlaws and their kin were gathered and during the process, eight accused were arrested.
While interrogating some accused they disclosed that they are working for Rahul alias Kala, who is a close associate of Bawania.
