Marginal dip seen in Delhi University's 1st cut-off list
New Delhi: The first cut-off list released by the Delhi University on Friday witnessed a marginal decline by 0.25 to 1 per cent in all its courses as compared to last year.
Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), which has been in the spotlight for last couple of years for setting unusually high cut off for B.Com. (Honors), has this year released the cut off for both B.Com. (H) and Economics (H) at 97.75 per cent. While for B.Com (H), there is a dip of 0.25 percentage points from last year’s 98 per cent, for Eco (H), the dip is of 0.50 percentage points from 98.25 per cent in 2016.
At Ramjas College, the cut off for B.Com (H) is at 97.5 per cent, a dip of 1.75 percentage points from last year’s 99.25 per cent. Eco (H) is at 97.5 per cent as against 98.5 per cent last year.
While English (H) is at 96.5 per cent, Eco (H) at 97.5 per cent and B.Com (H) at 97.5 per cent, science subjects also saw a dip in cutoff with Chemistry (H) at 96 per cent, going down by 2 percentage points from last year’s 98 per cent. The cut off at Hans Raj College remained at the same mark as last year or saw a dip of 0.25-1 per centage points. The college kept the cutoff for Eco (H) at 97.25 per cent and B.Com (H) at 97.5 per cent. For English (H), the cutoff remained same as last year at 97 per cent. Only BA programme saw a rise in cutoff with 97 per cent as compared to last year’s 96 per cent.
The cutoff for science subjects remained almost same as last year with Chemistry (H) at 97.33 per cent and Physics (H) at 97 per cent. Lady Sri Ram College for Women declared the cut off for English (H) at 98 per cent, a dip of 0.25 percentage points from last year. For Economics (H), the cut off is 97.5 per cent, for B.Com (H) at 97.25 per cent and for Political Science and History (H) at 97.5 and 96. 5 per cent, respectively.
BA programme cutoff dropped by 1.5 percentage point to 95.5 per cent. Sri Venkateswara College kept the cut off for English (H) at 96.5 per cent, Economics (H) at 97.5 per cent and for B.Com (H) at 97.5 per cent. The cut off for science courses witnessed a dip of 0.66 per cent from last year with Chemistry (H) at 95.33 per cent and Physics (H) at 96.33 per cent.
Miranda House for Women saw the cut off for English (H) stay same as last year at 97.5 per cent while there is a dip of 0.25 percentage point for Economics (H), with the cut off at 97.25 per cent.
