An abandoned Pakistani fishing boat was on Monday seized by the Border Security Force in the Indian territory in Koteshwar Creek area of Kutch district on the Indo-Pak border.

The Pakistani fishing boat was found on Monday morning during patrolling in the creek area, according to an official statement by the Gujarat BSF.

Since the boat was lying unattended, officials believe that the Pakistani occupants might have fled in other fishing boats.

As per the official statement, nothing suspicious was found on the nearly 20-foot-long and 6-foot-wide fishing boat. BSF officials also confirmed that they have found two mobilephones and some fishing items on the boat, and said they have started further investigation.

This is the fourth such seizure by BSF in last four months in the creek area. Earlier in January 2016, a similar size boat was found in the Sir Creek area.

In December 2015, one such fishing boat was found at Padala creek area near Koteshwar. In November last year, two fishing boats were found at Harami Nala area of Kutch.
