Visakhapatnam:  Regional parties in the country are not in a position to form a third front as there is no coordination among them in almost all the states, BJP's Andhra Pradesh general secretary S Suresh Reddy said on Thursday.

It has become a fashion for some political leaders to float a front, he said, adding, BJP would not be cowed down by the third front.

As regional parties, they have their own state priorities and it is very difficult for strong coordination among TDP, TRS, Trinamool Congress, BJP, CPI, CPI-M, BSP and few others parties in the country, he said.

Ignoring the ideology of the NT Rama Rao-founded TDP, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has been trying to join hands with the Congress to form a third front but his efforts would not be fruitful, Mr Reddy said.

He said BJP would win a majority of seats in Andhra Pradesh in the 2019 polls and become a deciding factor in local politics.
