With reference to your article Triple talaq : A menace (October 9) it is important for the conservative All India Muslim Personal Law Board, which seeks to wield influence on questions of Muslim personal law, to understand that many Muslim women are pressured from conservative sections and they undergo severe trauma after being thrown out of their homes. Instead of giving bizarre logic that the custom is a way out to avoid long-running court proceedings the Board should know that everyone is equal and the right to grant divorce to the husband alone is unjustified.
