Australian Education Fair begins on Monday

Kolkata: The Australian Education Fair will kick-start from Kolkata on Monday. IDP Education India, the leading student placement service provider will organise the event. The fair, spreading across 15 cities, will conclude in Coimbatore on September 1. Among other cities, the fair will be organised in Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Kochi.

Piyush Kumar, country director, India, IDP Education said, “IDP seeks to provide a platform to aspiring students to come and have a face-to-face interaction with the university representatives and get answers to all their queries related to studying in Australia. Over 40 Australian institutions are participating in the fair. It is a free platform for all students to gauge their prospects, apply directly to the institution of their choice and get first-hand information on courses, scholarships etc.” He further added, “Australian education has always attracted Indian students for its quality. The availability of post-study work opportunities also helps on making it even more attractive for students.

Also, 20 out of 34 Australian universities feature in the world’s top 400.” In addition to meeting the institutions, qualified students can also get application fee waivers and scholarships. The scholarships can range from a fee bursary to a 50 per cent scholarship of tuition fee for selected students.
